Macapá, Macapá
About this stay
Frota Palace Hotel packs unusual extras into its family rooms: a dining area alongside the work desk, streaming services for evenings in, and a balcony with city views in every category. Free WiFi, private check-in and check-out, a lift and 24-hour front desk keep the stay simple, while the coffee shop, meeting rooms and tour desk give guests options beyond the room. Breakfast pulls together local specialities, warm dishes, fresh pastries, pancakes, cheese, fruit and juice in a genuinely full buffet. It sits 4 km from Alberto Alcolumbre International Airport, and welcomes pets, a rarer policy in Macapá.

Our take
This suits families and pet owners who want a room built for settling in rather than just sleeping, dining area and streaming services included. The tour desk is a real convenience for planning excursions without hunting down a separate agency. Guests wanting a pool or river view should look at other properties on this list, since Frota Palace Hotel focuses on in-room comfort instead.
- ✓Use the tour desk to book excursions directly rather than arranging them separately
- ✓Ask about pet policy specifics at booking, exact terms are not listed publicly
- ✓Take advantage of the luggage storage if you have a late flight after checkout

Why guests love itFrota Palace Hotel is a two-star option in Macapá whose family rooms are better equipped than the rating suggests. Rooms are air-conditioned with private bathrooms, balconies with city views and an in-room dining area, handy for simple meals with children. Streaming services on the TV help on hot afternoons indoors. A coffee shop, tour desk and luggage storage cover the rest, and pets are accepted.
