Our take
I would choose JB Hotel for a central stay in Petrolina where the pool and the top-floor restaurant are the draw: the outdoor pool has a sundeck, and the restaurant offers panoramic city views. Rooms are simple, with air conditioning, cable TV and free WiFi, and a buffet breakfast is served daily. Free parking is listed. A 7.9 rating from 606 reviews is decent rather than outstanding, so I treat it as a practical, good-value base.
