Hotel rios
A budget hotel one minute from the cathedral
Santarém
About this stay
Hotel rios sits about as central as a Santarém budget hotel can get, one minute on foot from the Catedral Metropolitana Nossa Senhora da Conceição, the cathedral anchoring the city's historic core and daily street life. The review count stays small, but the rating holds steady, suggesting a modest, lesser-known property rather than an unproven one just starting out. Bom Petit Restaurante covers meals a minute away on foot, making the immediate block genuinely walkable for both sightseeing and dinner without needing a taxi at all. The 23-minute airport transfer is typical for hotels this deep in the center, and the format stays basic: a room, air conditioning, and the location doing most of the work here, which is exactly what travelers on this budget are looking for.

- One minute from the cathedral
- Central location

Our take
Travelers who want the shortest possible walk to Santarém's cathedral, and don't mind a smaller, lesser-known property, should consider Hotel rios for a short stay. Anyone wanting a wider amenity list, breakfast included, a restaurant, or laundry, should look toward the larger budget hotels nearby instead, since this one keeps things deliberately minimal.
- ✓Walk to the cathedral first thing, since the one-minute distance makes it an easy stop before breakfast elsewhere.
- ✓Eat at Bom Petit Restaurante rather than searching further, since it sits as close as the cathedral itself.
- ✓Confirm room amenities directly with the property before booking, since the listing details run sparse online.
Why we love it
- One minute from the cathedral
- Central historic block
- Bom Petit Restaurante next door
- Straightforward budget rate
Why guests love itTravelers who stay here mostly come for the location, a one-minute walk to Santarém's main cathedral that is hard to match anywhere else on this list of properties. The property itself stays modest and lesser-known, without the amenity list of the bigger budget hotels nearby, but the immediate block covers both sightseeing and a nearby restaurant for an easy, uncomplicated stay.
