Our take
I would book Hotel 1000 for its location above all: the centre of Piracicaba and the bus terminal are about 300 metres away, which makes a car optional. The three-star hotel has modern air-conditioned rooms, free Wi-Fi, parking, a 24-hour reception and a pet-friendly policy, still uncommon in city-centre hotels. The 7.9 score across 798 reviews tells me it is solid rather than special, so I see it as a practical stopover rather than a place to linger.
- ✓If you're traveling with a pet, confirm the specific pet policies when booking your room
- ✓Take advantage of the central location to walk to the city center and bus terminal
- ✓Explore the nearby Rua do Porto street and Engenho das Águas, both within walking distance
