Planalto Select Hotel Ponta Grossa
Nationally certified dining, 700 metres from the mall
Ponta Grossa, Ponta Grossa
About this stay
Planalto Select Hotel sits in the commercial and financial heart of Ponta Grossa, close enough to Shopping Palladium, just 700 metres away, to make it an easy walk for shopping or dinner. The property holds a national certification for its gastronomy service, reportedly the only hotel in Paraná with this specific standard, which sets its dining apart from the standard buffet found elsewhere in the city. Rooms feature wooden fittings, a minibar with fresh drinks and private bathrooms, while a fitness centre and pet-friendly policy widen its appeal. It's a 15-minute drive from the main highways, making it a practical base for business travelers moving through the wider Campos Gerais region.

Our take
This is a genuinely distinctive pick in Ponta Grossa thanks to its certified gastronomy service, a rare enough credential that it's worth choosing this hotel specifically for a good meal on-site. The location near Shopping Palladium and the fitness centre add further reasons to book here over a more basic centro hotel. It leans corporate in feel, so travelers wanting a homier, family-run atmosphere might prefer a pousada instead.
- ✓Eat at least one meal on-site to try the nationally certified gastronomy service
- ✓Walk to Shopping Palladium rather than driving, given the short 700-metre distance
- ✓Bring pets along if needed; the hotel maintains a pet-friendly policy
Why we love it

Why guests love itPlanalto Select Hotel stands out in Ponta Grossa for its food: the kitchen holds a national certification, which makes dinner on site an easy family decision. Rooms are air-conditioned with wooden fittings, and pets are welcome. Shopping Palladium is about 700 metres away, handy for a rainy afternoon with children. Parents get fitness centre access. The hotel sits in the commercial centre, so it suits a city stay rather than a resort break. A 9.3 score from 636 reviews is excellent.
