About this stay
This three-star hotel holds the highest guest rating in Bauru at 9.2 across 560 reviews, and the reason is consistency rather than luxury. It sits 400 metres from Bauru Shopping, the closest of any hotel in the city to the mall, with the centre three kilometres away and Bauru Airport 25 kilometres out. The outdoor pool and fitness centre together make it a genuine wellness option at a three-star price, which is unusual in the interior paulista. Rooms carry flat-screen televisions with cable channels, air conditioning and private bathrooms, and free WiFi covers the whole property. A complimentary breakfast is served daily and a 24-hour front desk handles late arrivals. Free private parking is offered subject to availability rather than guaranteed with the room.

Our take
I would book Comfort Hotel Bauru for its location near Bauru Shopping and its strong 9.2 guest score, high for a three-star hotel. Breakfast, WiFi and a pool are included, and pets are welcome. Parking is free but depends on availability, so arriving early by car is wise. It is a dependable, well-run base for a short visit.
- ✓Confirm a parking space when you book, because the free private parking here is subject to availability rather than guaranteed.
- ✓Walk the 400 metres to Bauru Shopping for dinner, since the hotel sits three kilometres from the central restaurant strip.
- ✓Use the outdoor pool in the late afternoon, when the fitness centre is busiest and the terrace has emptied.
